His eyes rest gently on her with warmth and tenderness,

Her soft hair sways as she moves with fluid grace.

Sweetly, with a tender side glance, she lowers her eyes,

And there go those tears!-falling softly, as I watch in silence.

I watch as he wipes her tears away, erasing them with his thumbs,

But when she holds him close, she flows through him like a river.

Why can’t he release her pain, break free from her spell?

I’m tethered to his sorrow, longing for what can never be mine.
